Joe R. Lansdale’s third story to reach film
Joe R. Lansdale is without a doubt one of the most well known authors of our time. His many works speak for themselves. With his first short story to hit film, Bubba Ho Tep(Don Coscarelli) becoming an instant cult classic his third to reach the big screen is likely to follow suit. Based on his short story of the same name due out early this year, Christmas With The Dead is sure delight both fans of Zombie lore and non fans like with a dark twist that only Lansdale can bring. The film while currently in production is expected to start shooting sometime this summer.
Joe himself will be working as executive producer, his son Keith working on the script, Brian James Fitzpatrick is set to direct and independent film actor Damian Maffei playing the lead as Calvin(who recently lost his wife and child). Rumored to have Oddtopsy F/X scheduled to create the special effects this is one movie that will have readers and fans alike clamoring to see the end results.
